Greta's First Day of Kindergarten

Greta started Kindergarten today. Cam and I were really worried about her being able to go to Public School for awhile. She has been so shy in the past, but since we moved to Eagle Mountain she has gotten a lot better. It used to take her about an hour to warm up to her grandparents that she saw all the time. She also doesn't like to talk to her dad or I or anyone for that manner every morning when she wakes up for 20 min or so. She was painfully shy and has overcome it and we are very proud of her. She really wanted to go to school so we talked to her and told her that she had to start talking to adults. She started coming and telling us every time she did talk to an adult and was very proud of herself for doing so. Becki Lillie in our neighborhood helped her come out of her shell and I appreciate that very much.

Greta was so excited to start kindergarten and was so upset she didn't get to start on the same day as Austin. Alyssa Vehar is in her class and she's excited about that. She also gets to have Austin Moser, and Jude Vale on her track. We think it'll be a great year.

Freezer Salsa

My old roommate and dearest friend Jenalee got a hold of some homegrown tomatoes and asked me if I'd like to make some freezer salsa with her. Of course I said yes, we love salsa at our house.

It took all day to make, but it was so worth it in the end. It was great to visit and have our kids play. No matter how much time goes by between visits with Jen we can always pick right back up as if no time has gone by. I'm truly grateful for a friend like Jen.

Oliva, Squishy, Wivvy, Livvy Lou, Punkin Head

Our Livvy Lou is 4 months old and we can't believe it. We've decided that we don't know if she's even going to know what her real name is because we have so many nicknames for her. Alina thinks her nickname should be "Princess Anawese Wivvy." We call her squishy because she is chunktastic and it just fits. She has brought such joy to our home. The kids can't get enough of her and she can't get enough of them. She's a bit spoiled because she has so much attention and when she isn't getting attention she gets really mad. She can be screaming while I'm making dinner and I'll go pick her up and she'll instantly smile at me, and then when I put her down she instantly screams.

Olivia is a daddy's girl. She absolutely adores him. She can sense when it's time for him to get home and gets fussy if he's late. She smiles easily for him and wants to be with him. If she hears his voice she will find him and follow him all around the room. I think she has Cam wrapped around her chunky little finger.

She still isn't sleeping through the night, hopefully she will soon. I haven't put her in her crib yet because she isn't sleeping through the night. She also doesn't really take naps, maybe two 10 minute cat naps a day, but that's it. I can't figure out why she doesn't need more sleep.

We have gotten her to laugh and the kids love it. They do all sorts of silly things to make her laugh. She really likes weird sounds the kids make and trys to mimic them. We love our Olivia, Squishy, Wivvy, Princess Anawese Wivvy, Baby Doll girl.

Austin's First day of 2nd Grade

Austin started 2nd grade today. His teacher's name is Mrs. Washburn and he only has one other kid (Curtis Hansen) in our neighborhood in his class. We got to meet her a couple of days before school started and he picked out where he was going to sit. He's very excited. I took the kids school shopping and they all wanted to model their first day of school choices, and of course Alina needed to be included. Greta will start kindergarten next week.

Idaho

While we were in Idaho for a week we had a great time. The kids took lawn mower rides with their papa. We went to Bass Lake with Ashlee, Jaysen, Crystal, Papa and the kids. When Cameron came to get us on the weekend we played American Idol on the wii and had a great time. It was such a nice relaxing visit. We'll do it again next summer.

Alina Turns 4!

Alina turned 4 in Idaho. We had a birthday celebration for her while we were there for our week visit. All of her cousins came over and played with her and brought her presents. She was in Heaven!

Family Reunion to Bear Lake

We had our Casperon family reunion on August 6-9, 2009. We went to Bear Lake and stayed in this ginormous home. It had a slide on the top floor and you could go down it from level to level. It had a room with a basketball court, a playhouse, trampoline, and putting green. It also had a theatre room in it for the kids to watch movies. We had a family basketball tournament that lasted for a long time and it was so fun to see how competitive everyone got.

The kids loved going down the slide and they slept on the tramp at night. One night all the cousins stayed up until 2am watching movies while all the parents were sound asleep.

We went to the beach and played in the water and just had a good time. It was nice to get away. All of the kids got turns driving a 4-wheeler and hitting a pinata.

The kids and I went back to Idaho with Grandma and Grandpa Casperson in their motorhome to stay for a week.

I had to bribe Talon with a treat to take this picture. He's such a good cousin to my kids.

Random Pictures

Here are some of my favorite pictures from the last month. Alina and Olivia fell asleep holding hands. Both of them have to suck on something.

Landon and Austin were playing so cute with Olivia and they had her grinning from ear to ear.

Miss Olivia Alice doing what she does best, being cute.

I went in to check on the kids before I went to bed and this is how I found Greta. She has to be surrounded by all her favorite stuffed animals every night. I can't believe she can sleep like that.
